I went back and saw that I had just one picture of the Joshua trees however I recall pointing them out to Derek as we drove. We did go to the waterfalls! Post coming soon. Today we went downtown - too bad it was raining and the plaza was blocked off because Prince Charles is in town. Very scenic here - we are very impressed with Monterrey and surrounding area.Teresa Johannesma Woodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04452415576469118219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7145439356430068072.post-40970783867360192192014-11-05T08:00:27.415-08:002014-11-05T08:00:27.415-08:00Wonderful job folks, you made it! I didn't see any pictures of the Joshua trees which were common when driving that cuota. I hope you'll spend time in Mexico's 3rd largest city, I love this place and all it offers to even the tourist, sorry, your not tourist you have a green cards, your legal beagles!

I didn't realize HEB was in Mexico, though tons of our produce in our Austin HEB comes from Mexico. It's been almost 15 years since I've made a trip to Monterrey, but you've convinced me to return, not that that was your intention :)

The falls of Cola de Caballo are spectacular and the pine forest is a bit different from Austins natural fauna with all our scrub cedars. The Cola de Caballo Centro Recreativo is a nice cool reprieve from Monterrey's heat index during the summers. The Grutas de Garcia Park has a tram and a giant cavern system which I intend on seeing next time around. Hiking and biking abound in the area with all of the surrounding mountains make it a perfect place for those loving the outdoors. The central part of the city has a Macroplaza full of historical government buildings, it's an 80 acre city park full of Mexico's historic beauty and visit is a must do if you like building architecture.

Monterrey offers the big city life and yet is surrounded by natural beauty. In the sales profession you travel from point A to B. All of the opportunities in between are very often missed due to time constraints with other appointments. However, your best customer may be undiscovered between A and B! Monterrey is one of those places, hidden gems abound!

Thanks for sharing, welcome to Mexico and Viva la Mexico!

Brian MBrian Millerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06491746766872664792noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7145439356430068072.post-36489800652885716732014-11-05T07:14:02.283-08:002014-11-05T07:14:02.283-08:00Thanks Kathy!
