As remuneration the Camp Host is provided with a site. This position is best filled by an RVer who is used to boondocking. There are no services at the site. A water pump with great water is available at the campground as well as pit toilets. A sani station is available at Skihist Provincial Park 20 kms away. There are NO electrical hook ups - solar panels or a generator are required. Generator hours are 7 - 9 am and 6 - 8 pm.
Park Facility Operators do not live on site and visit once a day; therefore the Camp Hosts are a 'presence' on site.
This is just the basic information. If you are interested - or think you may be - better to write us with any questions you have. We would be happy to answer.
The season runs from May 1 to Sept 30 - however start and stop dates are negotiable.

ReplyDeleteWhat do you do for internet access there?
Oh, and I can't stand your comment word verification thingy!
It is VERY beautiful - we are happy to live/work in such a nice place.
DeleteWe have hi speed at Skihist via the local Internet provider. We have a receiver that picks up from a tower down the highway. That is good for us but doesn't help the host. Last years host had internet through their phone - not sure of the details or how it worked out.
Oh no - I've seen the grumblings about the verification going around - can I go in and change something?
looks like a great place to host for he summer, food for thought!
