Well, we are at it again.
When not sightseeing here in Mazatlan we have been at the beach. Morning and afternoon. Most days we go in the morning and then return in the late afternoon with Roofous to watch the sunset. Or on a day like today, when we have toured with Bill and Carol in the morning, we go for the whole afternoon. We all do the usual stuff as you will see below.
Tonight we went and saw Mazatlan by night and ended up strolling around the Centro Historico. In honour of Grandfather's day we stumbled upon a celebration complete with music and dancing - so it was quite a night.
Since we only returned around 9:30 pm time is short for the post tonight.
I hope you enjoy our collection of beach shots from the last week!
Next post will be back on the site seeing tour - our day spent visiting Malpica and Concordia.

TODAY'S INTERESTING LINK: Here's a neat site I found recently called Little Passports. It is dedicated to teaching children about the world with online games and activities. Perfect for the little ones in your life (ages 5 - 12) especially if they are not able to travel for real - and even if they are!
Gotta love the beaches, warm water and awesome sunsets there. Enjoy it while you can.
ReplyDeleteWe were AMAZED how warm the water is!
DeleteReally nice to see everybody in their natural elements: sun, water and sand! In Genesis 3:19 God said unto Adam: "In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return". Now with the Beach Bum Clan (BBC) it would sound a little different: "In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat tortilla's, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for sand thou art, and unto sand shalt thou return".
ReplyDeleteDo you have a canopy for shade, even one which is attached to the canopy of the van? That Mexican sun will have Derek trading his new Panamanian hat (which does look good) for the national hat of Mexico...the sombrero, which looks even better!
Enjoy!
Great comment Brian! You nailed it!
DeleteWe don't have an awning actually. Sadly, the van didn't come with one. We were going to buy one or make one but didn't end up getting that done. We sit in the shade created by the van! Next year we hope to have an add a room - so getting an awning and then drop down 'walls'.
At the beach we were going to get an umbrella but since it is always windy we nixed that idea.
